That plane was a proto type which had no human pilots. Everthing was run on computers and technology, and the stupid basterds that owned the plane filled it with passengers for it's maiden flight.
The computers got the landing wrong and over shot the runway (obviously) and not one passenger survived. They all perished in that explosion.
