oops. Got interrupted. As I was saying: That is what I believe was the case with Mr. Ende. He accomplished what he was here to do and went home. Who knows? Maybe someday he'll come back and write another story that'll be even better than this one.

I'm not implying anything. But I have always had the urge to write a story like this. I'm 20 now, but I have this movie, story, burned into my memory. :P Not saying anything, but I would love to create something that Mr. Ende did, and be remembered so clearly for it!

I watched the movie as when I was about 4-5 yrs. And I always cried when the horse died in the swamp of sadness. Horrible story btw, the horse died for real.

I used to watch this movie when I was a little girl when my parents were till together and their was no stress and everything was ok.Sure it brings back so many memories and tears.

The cover of the book itself seems like it should belong on something like Aleister Crowley's "The Book of The Law" (Liber AL vel Legis), Albert Pike's "Morals and Dogma"(of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry), or Anton Szandor LaVey's "Satanic Bible"; not a children's "story" book.

i would have loved having a book with such a cover when i was a kid. ok, i respect, but still don't understand why some adult people think children are dummies, the story is so inspirational, even the book's cover make kids think that there's a realm which dies as we "grow up" and that symbolism should be understood, personally i think it's true, and that's what a kids movie is all about: inspiration and fantasy, dreaming. plus, the music is simply unforgettable, not so with today's stupid films

it did die for real, when they were filming the lift that the horse was on got clogged up and kept on going down, so in the next scene where u see atreyu crying, he was crying for real

Wow, so many memories! Brought tears to my eyes. This is extremely well edited. Not like the amateurish crap a lot of people post. I had such a crush on Atreyu as a child! What a cute boy! It's still a dream of mine to meet Noah Hathaway. Anyone know if he's making any upcoming appearances?
