Actually, it was for Walter A. O'Brien (whose name was originally in the song). A rumor spread that he was a Communist, ruining at least one folk singer who revived the song. The Kingston Trio changed the name to avoid trouble.

Great musical entertainment. Lots of sound from three guys, two guitars and a banjo. Real music - lyrics, melody, harmony and rhythm. None of those but rhythm left these days.

i remember{im only 17 and it wasnt that long ago id say within the last 2years} i alaways laughed at this because on the red line they charged you to get off of the last to stops Quincy Adams and Braintree, and i never payed to get off always snuck out, they got rid of that now though with the induction of the charlie cards
