no. You don't really understand the whole idea of "purity rings." They've made a promise to themselves and to God that they will not have sex until after marriage. They don't refrain from sex because they are wearing a ring. The ring is just a symbol of their pledge. If they lost their ring, they would be sad, but then they would buy a new one. And in the day that they lost their ring, they would not immediately go out and have sex. Their ring itself is not what keeps them from having sex.

Good on the Jonas Brothers for what they stand for. Russell insulted everyone that night and obviously loves himself to bits (such as girls doing anything for some "cherry chapstick). There were certainly other people like Paris Hilton who is actually not a very nice person (read her book if you don't believe me) but he never says anything about people like her. I hated Russell's 'jokes' and commentary.

Russel is extremely intelligent original and funny. The Jonas Brothers are banal and talentless. Every once in a while company executives throw a shit band out there with a good image, and then market it to death so kids will buy it. Purity rings are just another attempt to sharpen the image.
