the thing is: as the governement is demonizing socialism.
Wich is absurd since paying tax is socialism.
problem is im a cynic when it comes to american governement. and so are most american's i think. that's why there is now way of implementing a social idea. since people dont even know what socialism actually means, and next to that they dont trust their governement. [wich is a good thing] .

No disrespect to your socialist system, it works for you and thats great. And I am glad its working for you because the way the U.S. is going we are going to be their within 30-50 years and I want my grandchildren to have a system that works. Its just not the system that I was brought up to believe in. As for being arrogant about social programs, I just dont know what programs we should institute to help society in general that we are havent tried or are trying.

I think a lot of us demonize it because if we let it in at all there is a slippery slope. Look at where we are now with all the negative talk about socialistic ideas, we are still going that way. True we dont trust our politicians because we have seen too many of them get caught doing the wrong thing and too many programs that started out as a good Idea get corrupted. thats why I think we dont trust them, because we cant afford to.
