We hear now, those who said, "Everything is fine", screaming, "The President and his policies did it". Congress makes the laws. Congress regulates. Where was Barney Franks in 2005 when Fanny and Freddie were in trouble? Where was Obama? Where was Kucinich, sucking up to the other Democrats, toting party line. His foresight seems to be 20/20 hindsight.

During this time lobbyist Phil Gramm brokered several bills to remove all the oversight and regulation from the finance industry. Sorry about the typo, the facts are right, But i missed typed the date. 1999 was the year, its a matter of public record. That being said, Bush in 2001, and 2003 was asking congress to put some oversight on Fanny & Freddy and he was turned down, and in 2006 McCain was doing the same with no results.

Just say today 10/10, where the CEO Richard Fuld of Lehmann Bros., pocketed 400 million dollars of the bailout money. He was before the Senate Judicial Committee today. He should be locked up by the FBI and tried for fraud and treason. He took taxpayer dollars that was allocated as a bailout of Lehmann toxic debt and kept it for himself.
