It's not biologically possible for dogs to 'watch' tv as they do not have the receptors in the brain that we have that let's us recognise moving images. He can still see the tv and he can hear it, but i doubt he can recognise himself. Unless your dog really is special ;).

umm...have u seen the video of the dog watching animal planet. He only "attacks" the dogs on the tv, not the birds. Hm....sure looks like he can recognize moving images. Science today doesn't explain everything. How do you know the receptors aren't there?

science = monkeys poking at god's infinity...anyway, when my pit was just a few months old he had a favorite toy, this plastic tube; we videotaped it and he tried to pluck it off the screen. he also refused to look at himself on video but would watch other dogs. i think it freaks them out, personally...though we did catch him admiring himself in mirrors, like a vain teenager. weird.
