i can put my hitachi on mode b easy but cant run the 79unlock e were e is my drive i use the cmd comand and yust blinks and frezees i wait for 5 minutes and nothing xbox and cmd command freezes help please i already play the 79unlock wav file one full time and one more time really short and i open the hitachi drive try to run the cmd 79unlock e and it frezes what i am missing help please

I got everything right until getting the dvd movie, then my xbox turns off automaticly, no lights at all, and when you go to my pc the drive is gone, any ideas???

Guys, I think the problem everyone who has their computer freeze is that after you pause the drive, you HAVE to eject the CD and take the CD out and put a real Xbox360 game in the tray, BEFORE you run 79unlock x. I had problems with my computer freezing up at that point every single time. Also, do not forget about pressing the eject button 3 times if the game would not stay in after you run the 79unlock x command. Hope it helps out guys.

keep the av cords plugged in, the xbox automaticaly shuts off after 5 mins wihtout those cords plugged in
and it CANNOT be hdmi, it has to be the colored cords

so i tried pressing the eject button once, and it kept the disk in there to get the audio clip to play, but now im getting "cannot read from drive"

thanks 4 tutorial and help, I finally got it, but now my question will be: are u ok to go online after doing this without being banned? I mean playing with original games of course...d anyB knows or have try?

if anybody else is having this issue, you need to right click the command that came with the 79 download, and run in command and then type in the correct info

cant get it to do it in Vista.
Got the drive in my computer (using the dos mode_b command as t-x tutorial - does it make a difference if I use slax?) but when I put the CD in it just hangs or crashes the PC. On occasion it has BSOD it.
Is it vista? Do I need to get xp on there? Or is it the mode_b command from command promt and should I use slax insted?
All help is appreciated, need this drive flashed as it's getting in the way having bits of 360 all over the place.

a lot of people are haveing trob with the 79unlock freazing up the computer, this is how you fix it, you -must- burt the audio cd at about 2x or 4x, you must also be useing a 32-bit system, a vista or any 64bit ver will lock up, and last but not least, when playing the cd on the computer, it's one full time then start/stop it on the next play, doing all of this shode keep it from locking up your computer [trust me, took me over 6 hours to find out what i was doing wrong]

Im still iffy about modding a 360 you said in this video you didnt have to open up your xbox360 well dont you have to open it up and switch the drive or what ever, and when you mod it i always heard you can get ban how many people have got ban from xbox live ? it seems like alot of work taking it apart the right drive i heard there is different types of drive and grounding the system, using the software ,also what if you have vista i see alot of people using xp when hacking the system

Can Someone Help Please I Whent in modeb and i shows at my computer in put the 79 unlock cd in the xbox 360 dvd rom and play it ones full and then another time but i stop it fast and then when i go to command prompt and put '79unlock h' it doestint reconises it can someone tell me what im doing wrong !! Why My PC freezes after the command prompt?My drive is in mode B and windows recognized it.Played the 79 unlock cd ,command prompt the freezes..did it many times but still the same.Pls help geniuses..im using Dell 5150 with SATA onboard.Appreciate tour help in advance.
