It really depends on what you like in a game. I personally think that this is an awesome game and I hope that Square-Enix actually makes Chrono Break(the sequel) soon.

Yes it is, square stated on numerous occasions that it takes place three to four decades after the events of chrono trigger. Plus it's on the back of the case. (Mine's a greatest hits edition (circa 2005) in case you have a black label release. The original printing didn't openly say it but you'd have to be blind not to notice that they re-released chrono trigger on PS1 a month or so before it came out. Also The name's a huge hint.

I'm not sure why DragonFoce140 says it isn't the continuation of Chrono Trigger, because even the packaging the disks come in say it is. LOL It's extremely different from CT, but it ties up some "loose ends" in the CT storyline. Don't start playing the game expecting the gameplay to be an exact carbon copy of CT or else you'll be disappointed. When I first started playing it I didn't care for it because it was so different, but now that I'm about 30 hours into it I love it. :) One of my faves.

chill out CT fans. Not everyone was fortunate enough to grow up during the SNES era. I played CT first and I like it better because CT is what suck me into RPG games. So what, I enjoy any RPG games.

You might not think it's good for whatever reason, but the definition of good in this case is well produced, which it is, and fun for most people, which it is. Technically the game is good if most people like it, but If you don't, that's just your opinion.
