| i agree with you... something i think people dont realize is that playing "dress up" isnt exactly a male female thing, its kids being imaginative, and when some boys want to play dress up the only thing they usually have to choose from when deciding what to wear is usually girly costumes like dresses, the costume choices should be a wider range to fit both boys and girls |

| i like sherrie but her convervative view can be stiffling sometimes. I think she is less concerned about her child (He cannot express himself and may end up hiding things from his mother) and their development and more concerned about the world view of her and if her child will end up GAY. I think she believes by letting him wear a dress he will be GAY. People are so stupid sometimes. If Jeffrey is gay he will be gay if he plays in dresses or not. |

| the reason I think this is stupid is because they might as well be debating whether homosexuality is wrong or not... that's what this whole thing is about, masculinity and femininity and that girls should be feminine and boys "should" be masculine. | The contradictions stated by some (not all) Christians makes me want to puke. They preach one minute to accept everyone for who they are, then another minute they say "as long as it's what I think GOD would want me to do," and just that quick, God's "want" becomes someone's "force" upon someone else. Don't these people know it will only make their children resent them AND Christianity when that 18th birthday hits? I mean, it'll be there already, but at 18 it'll REALLY show...*sigh* Brainless. |

| I don't agree with Barbara. I know so many parents who would get very offended if a teacher said 'your child might be transgender.' I mean, thats like someone saying to you, "hey look, I think you might be gay." Being gay or transgender may not be a bad thing, but people can take it the wrong way.And yes,I believe children should be allowed to be WHO THEY WANT TO BE. There is nothing wrong with a girl who enjoys girly things like Barbies and make up.That doesn't make her boring, ditzy, or weak. |
