Not too sure of the overall meaning in the video. However this song captured me by the first note. The piano just fits in all the places. "Don't make a move til I say action" and "I've seen this story line played out so many time before" "and then it's over. These words are soooooooo true as to what's happening in my life. I love this song. I love the lyrics.

I like Portishead as well, but this is better. After listening to Portishead for a while you want to slap Beth Gibbon and tell her to get over it. Pulp had varied lyrics, not just 'my man dumped me and now I'm depressed and angry'. She's done that for three albums now...anyway, rant over...this song is ace.
