A soldier is not always a warrior; not all in the armed forces follow correctly the noble call to arms. Stalin's, Mao's, Hitler's "warriors" etc all say the same as you. Like their "warriors" you gave hell to others pretending they were a "threat." I take it you are a mercenary now; am I correct?

Not all soldiers in the US army are bad. But not all are good. As in any army. The Iraq war is against international law. Look at Vietnam - has its unification threatened the US? The US now trades with them. If a soldier follow the international rules of war he is a decent man; if not he is evil. I trust you are one of the former.

Many people are innocent; but you appear to need to reject that truth. War, illigitate war, is no way to earn money or run an economy. Few other modern civilised countries require war to sustain its - now failing - economic system. Best put the money into peoples wagechecks and not the pockets of rich peddlars of war. Only the US needs war, or the spoils of war, to survive. If one wants war I guess the person you attack must be guilty - if only to ease your conscience.

To me this song is not about War, but rather about the people that fight and survive through it. And then remember for the rest of their lives the ones that didn't.

boonierat59 The fall of the great British empire left a vacumn that the US sought to fill. It has placed military bases around the world to sustain its geopolitical power and influence. No country, however backward, is safe; even Vietnam was defined as a threat! Which is why it went into Vietnam. It was a waste of American and Vietnamese lives and all for the munitions makers. I value US soldiers more than you do.
