Dude, in Japan, it's so peaceful and calm sometimes..... your breathless..... and so his cynicism was taken away. That's one thing i did see missing in this episode, however.... it's a different side.... it's a cool, calm side..... i wouldn't want it too often, but just enough to make him seem humble and human :)

Your comparison between European and Asian countries doesn't seem to go together. You have to know that Japan and a lot of asian countries are more reserved, acting too out of place will seem disrespectful to them. They're not like the European countries which are more laid-back.

I thought the Romania episode was hampered by the fact that he had that mad friend of his organising things, and also nothing seemed to go to plan. But yes, it can be argued that he is more reverential to some countries than others. I did enjoy the Iceland episode however.

He's too serious and reverential in this episode. Its a little pretentious and it seems unfair given how he treats some other places (Sweden, Iceland, Romania for example) as a big joke.

salmonella is less of an issue outside of the u.s. depending on the source of the chicken. in the u.s. where chicken=battery raised chicken, salmonella is a given.
