watch any cooking show the top chefs never even bother to rinse it:S the water that boils with the pasta will kill any germs you may be afraid of while rinsing the pasta.

When does an Italian rinse Pasta? That's American not Italian. What's a little starch!

I just bought Clara's cookbook. In addition to good tasting, simple recipes, there's a lot of wisdom in this book as well. Even in these tough times, we're pretty fortunate compared to those that lived in through the 1930's.. She reminds me of my great-grandmother, who used to be able to make a great meal from practically nothing.

This is a lot better than ramen every night, and just as cheap. Plus Clara is adorable. I love this.

I find this absolutely extraordinary. You rumbled him. Why would anyone have any suspicion of him? Sernechaev must have thought 'noone will actually go click and check my age to see that I wasn't young enough to be a child' I mean why would he lie?. Yet you clicked, and you were right to check!

What a wonderful thing you're doing! Not just the recipes - one could get them other places, probably - but the stories! History that would otherwise be lost ... wonderful!!

Healthy carbs, better than most things college kids eat on a daily basis. That's why I love this series, college food is terrible for you.

Thank you very much for anwering me. Also, should I just buy the cook book?, or is all her meals on the web? I will make this meal anyway.

  18. Feb 26, 2010 at 12:56 PM by giants22

Yes, but very good, and put some hot ground red pepper and romano cheese on it too :)

Looks like a great meal, but potatoes and pasta? That's a lot of starch.

This is great. Since My mum lost her job, and no place is hiring, we've been living off of our savings. Cooking like you teach us should save us a good amount of money a week.

@sergnechaev Well you can't have been a child in the 2000s. you're 25 now according to your user page.
