I gave you a thumbs up, some people are so inconsiderate with that button. And I agree, a lot of people seem to hate him for no good reason. Raoul and Christine were childhood sweethearts and so had a deeper bond before Eric came. Eric might have had a chance if he could have controlled his murderous tendencies. I like the Phantom but Christine got it right when she said," This haunted face holds no horror for me now, it's in your soul that the true distortion lies."

I know, poor girl lost her boyfriend (husband?) by being crushed via chandelier. You can't help but feel bad for her at that moment despite how she behaves in the earlier scenes of the movie. :'(

Eric tried to kill the whole audience? D: Lots of innocent people whyyy's? Eric, you're making it hard for me to root for you even though you've lived a hard life. :(

yeah your right. its not like he can go out on the street and say hi my name erik. they would freak out. but tbh i dunno why if he say hi im blah blah blah and that to me he would be saying "Hi, I'm Erik, the guy of your dreams i have a mask but im still really sexy" lol

i love down once more (L) i dont know what i like better the Phantom with or without his black jacket on lol. but im wondering when Raoul falls down that hole and reall drowns (shame he didnt) how could that gate thing some down and how come he didnt land on that when he fell?

One one hand Raol loves her, but on the other, he doesn't NEED her... Also, the rope can't have been that tight. He's still singing pretty good. But the phantom's mother should be hung. She was afraid and abondoned him for that!? I've seen alot worse in my lifetime (I'm 19) and they were all great, compassionate people. He was just abused so long, it warped his soul. If nothing else, his mother should have loved her child dispite his looks...

@AlexExctasy Wow ! You may be the one out of a hundred,( thousand ? Million?) who cares even the slighest bit about la Carlotta ! Thanks for her.! I think their are lovers, because they're always together (as in the 'Notes' scene) but I don't really know for sure.

@jromanr01 Sure. Phantom hasn't got a pretty easy life, and we should feel a bit bad for him. But then, as julids said, Raoul's having a though time too. And I don't think Phantom really cares about Raoul's money, anymore than Christine does. But yes, he coud've helped some company ; )

@wannette09 He is also rich and was born into wealth, wheras the Phantom lived his life, alone.

This is my favorite part of the movie, particulary when she sings "the tears I might have shed for your dark fate grow cold and turn to tears of hate", the face she makes, wow.. and when the three of them sing together.. wow, awesome!

@julids so, to sum up a bit, you feel bad for the three of them. That's generous. Usually, no one thinks of Raoul. Poor guy's is almost hanged and no one cares !

I feel so sorry for The phantom beacuse all he ever wanted is to have Christines love. He has been all alone in darkness for a long time beacuse of his terrified face

hes asking "why me" for all of the hatred and pain hes gone through, but hes also asking why she had to take off the mask and expose him to the world again.

dude. I feel really bad for Raul right now. He has to watch the woman he loves kiss the man he's been trying to save her from. I also feel bad for the phantom because he has never known love or compassion from anyone. Christine is in a very bad situation where she must choose between saving the man she loves, which means spending the rest of her life with the phantom or letting Raul die.

yeah, i know that's a big difference :> but i was like.. thinking that maybe the phantom joins the real world as a "real" human too! :D

for me, it reminds me of rigoletto and beauty and the beast. the only BIG difference is that in those movies, the "beasts" turn back into normal people. with this, he stays the same.
