This song gets better every time I hear it. Just wish they did the whole song, all twenty some-odd minutes of it. But otherwise, the Floyd will never die. Thanks for 40 years of wonderful music and thank you @eye4sf for posting this. :D

God I love the funky part with the cool organ, groovy bass riff and that hi-flying guitar! Is the best of pinkfloyd. Always makes my skin to turn like chicken skin.

He's one of the most underrated drummers ever. He may have not been as flashy as his contemporaries, but he always palyed what fit the song moods perfectly.

I remember back in '85 listening/watching to this on VHS.
I asked a friend if he could go to the video store and see if they have this Pink Floyd video. I thought no way in hell that this small town may have it. I proceeded to drink and take vast quantities mushrooms
then wow did I star trippin, then in walks my best friend with the Pink Floyd Live Live at Pompeii video.
WOW" it was the best trip ever... bar none.

Well, I've got a rosewood neck Strat, too, and I can assure you it would work just fine. about the one he uses in this video, i think wikipedia says it's the same one he still uses: the "Black Strat"

I still think as they progressed they TRANSENDED time and became timeless...they were on a time warp and just kept moving forward beyond what most, if not all others have produced in the last 30 years...The Wall being the pinnacle. ...true creative professionals.
It's a " time piece" best left as it is...we don't need a George Lucas to go back and f%&$ with it....

@SmellsLikeReason I like the 60's and 70's culture also. But I am interested in art, and nostalgia is just a longing, its only a by-product of the mind. great art must stand strong going beyond nostalgic feelings. Its really not important if its 60's or 70's it just should be good and timeless.

@Kapojos Well, that's your opinion Kapojos, because when I hear music that I like it more then often sends me into a state of nostalgia. Sometimes into trances that are instrumentally induced. I like to think of the past a lot, and because of this time is something that effects me everyday. I'm in love with the 60's and it's culture, and the 70's to an extant.
