Yes, but Arakawa does shading. Scar and the ishvalans are one shade, Ed and Mustang are another. Rose is the same shade as Ed.

haha the terms i was talking about are in the first 10 seconds of this vid :P and i'm really enjoying brotherhood. i've never read the manga, but its less drama and more action/alchemy. 'cause i know what we all want to see is ed kicking butt :D

wanna commment on what i'm seeing just on this first page... Shoes742: ed and everyone else that can use alchemy without a transmutation circle has tried human transmutation. The concept is that he creates a circle using his body (clapping his hands together) and the rest is all mental. i'm not sure of the exact terms, but first they have to comprehend what they're transmuting, then deconstruct, then reconstruct. neowisdom: from what i understand rose is from ishbal, so her skin would be brown.

They didn't keep releasing the manga for a different plot just so people would still buy it. How dare you even insult Arakawa that way. She made the FMA story before the anime, and has had the whole thing planned out from the beginning. The first anime caught up to the manga and she gave them the OK to make their own plot so that it wouldn't spoil the manga. They finished the anime. The manga is STILL going. The newest chapter comes out tomorrow. And it's not the last.

From what I heard the original one started to go with the manga but then veered off that plot once it caught up. all thee while the manga was still being released with a different plot from that point so people would still buy it. then they remade the anime to follow that new arc. or something like that. again thats just what i've heard from one person so it could be wrong.

I just checked the manga and Rose's skin really is white...but I still think light brown skin looks better on her

It is a whole new show, nat1498 got it wrong. The first anime started getting really different at Lab 5. And by the time Greed came, everything was different. Brotherhood is the manga story and the two series will be 100% different at episode 15. With major changes starting at episode 7.

The original one, Full Metal Alchemist it was quite confusing and everything wasn't in order. So then they remade it and called it Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, which is basically the same thing but more organized and everything happens in order.

ive seen both the original and the brotherhood, what is the difference between the 2 story lines?

@TheIgnoramus' How many this does this has to be repeated? Brotherhood is the actual version based off the ORIGNAL SCRIPT! But it wasn't rated well so it ended up being edited on a series-wide scale. But because the edited version went so well, they figured it was oaky to release the original. You have to think of how society was functioning when FMA first came out. That and you have to consider that almost EVERYONE, if you saw Conquerors of Shamballa, are all German by birthright...

@BluradLANCAST this is the original story. This follows the story the way the manga tells it, and the manga is where fullmetal alchemist comes from. The other one was just something they made up.
