The scientific method is worth studing. So is Jacque Fresco's use of it. Tim and Jacque Fresco would do this world good.

Yes, they have ATTEMPTED to prove the existence of a god ... all to no avail. The atom however, while too small to be viewed by the naked human eye, CAN be viewed and measured in other ways. Thus your own argument is self-contradictory ... the atom WAS discovered using empirical measurements, and NOT "faith." NOW do you get it??? Tim is right, Storm was wrong ... and so are you my friend. The truth really shouldn't be so frightening to you ... really.

I thought this was a well crafted bit of comedy. That it was poking fun at the alternative medicine group just made it better.

I highly doubt this is completely fictional (comedy comes from reality), but I'm sure claiming is isn't works great for your (lack of) argument, doesn't it?

As usual, the horrible stereotypical straw-man/woman hits close to reality. Naturally, most Supers are not exactly like the character Storm we meet here. Equally naturally, the arguments she uses are nearly universally used by Supers- making the caricature accurate enough for me. I have friends and relatives who, while not outwardly as New Age as Storm, all sound exactly like her (not her annoying voice, just the ideas.) I usually hate this type of 'art', but this is good. Cheers

Oh, its humor! My mistake. I thought it was intended to be significant. At least we both agree hes not a scholar. I guess anything for a laughJ.K.!

I'd like to point out the fact that Tim Minchin is not a scholar, he's a musician with comedic overtones. This isn't a theological debate, it's part of his comedy act, verbally and rhythmically structured in a very professional manner, You're reading into it too much and getting offended by comedy. It's not about god or science, it's about entertaining people. And I'm not sure what I find funnier, Tim Minchin, or your pathetic attempt at derailing his non-existent arguments. Wait no, it's Tim.

Continued: Please spare us! This is simply the straw man approach to attacking your opponent hardly scholarly! I will say that humanitys willingness to look beyond that which we know empirically in the quest for truth has led to the discovery of atom, which no human eye has ever seen either. Determining the existence of some greater power such as God or Allah or whatever has been attempted by greater minds than yours. Why should we consider your day dreamings?

I also have little tolerance for pseudo intellectuals with names like Storm, but I also have little patience for beat poets who create fictitious dinner parties- complete with sound effects- where they challenge ignorance and dogmatics only to prove their own academic prowess. Is this where we congratulate you for striking a blow for the rational people of the world? You have simply introduced us to some imaginary stereotypical bimbo named Storm and run her over with a steam roller.

I agree with the last statement.

Well, I'll repost my older commentary. "@hurley1 I agree with this affirmation of yours. In fact, I'm an atheist. But the previous one "Hey gaz I hate to bore ya but there's no such thing as a witch..." is just wrong. You wished to correct another person; now don't marvel on another person correcting your mistake. By the way, watch your tongue, I talked to you with respect."

A comment of mine has just been unfairly marked as spam. It is sad that some people, while being able to use reason, choose to act in such an unmoral way.

@123Calvario You know what I meant jackass. "witches" who practice witchcraft and think they are in touch with a spiritual or magical realm are deluded individuals. Just like Christians who think they talk to god.
