  9. Feb 25, 2010 at 03:00 PM by Fattyzilla

man wu is lucky the commentator said that pool is part of the curriculum in where he is from

Then why have a few snooker players came over to play? Drago, O'Sullivan, White, Davis, to name a few, have all had their hand at playing pool. Some had more success than others. The ironic part is that the players who have put in the hard work to succeed and win some tournaments have been heralded and pool has been put down. I'm not sure what the insecurity is from the snooker fans that they can't acknowledge great players and quit with the pigeon holing and mudslinging. It makes no sense.

You can't expect a guy pickin up a cue for the first time to play like it's cake. He or she will need loads of easy shots to start off with in order to not only build their confidence, but to teach them how to apply what they know on the easy shots to the more difficult ones, and add more to their game. Aside from that, no champion will come out of the gate running. Everyone must endure the transitive stage and adjust to the new game and it's equipment. It's no breeze, believe it or not.

  12. Feb 23, 2010 at 08:23 AM by SnareBuff

It won't happen right off the start. A pool champion who has never played snooker will not win, and a snooker champion who has never played pool will not win either. It takes diligence and hard work to become a great player. Pool may be easier for beginners to pick up compared to snooker, but that doesn't constitute any comparison of difficulty in terms of superiority. You HAVE to make things easy for beginners or else they'll never pick anything up.

lets see a pool player come to snooker and beat top ranked pros

  14. Feb 13, 2010 at 05:06 AM by AntiFanBoy1

lol ronnie is even worse at pool than in snooker.... oh my god the break off shot even a 8 year old kid can do better

  15. Feb 9, 2010 at 04:18 PM by gravidoff

tony drago did and he was shite at snooker lol he used to lose his rag and throw his cur

  16. Feb 9, 2010 at 04:12 PM by gravidoff

its pretty obvious that the break off shot has a lot to do with the game, each time ronnie potted the white off the break he lost the game whereas Wu was ruthless with his breakoffs. In terms of potting ability id side with ronnie anyday but as a complete player Wu is the man for pool

lol @ commentator saying Ronnie wouldn't win many games playing left handed. I've seen Ronnie do 100 breaks (in snooker ofc) left handed for fun.

@MShibo look at Mark Selby he is a top snooker professional and won the 8ball world championship in 2006 instead he was nr 4 in the world ranking of snooker. of course are 8 and 9ball different but I think that a snooker pro can allways become a pro in them.

  22. Jan 24, 2010 at 05:32 PM by axay17

no commercials? thats a bit of a lie

  23. Jan 22, 2010 at 05:10 AM by loisdays

buena partida pero ronnie puede ser el mejor jugador del mundo de snooker, pero en bola 9 no es el mismo, como q no se ve tan seguro, ya son varias veces q pierde y facil.

every pool video i see, i also see comments and arguments over snooker vs pool. ithink its like comparing basketball to baseball, it's two different game, just because they both use balls and cues, doesn't mean they are the same. so stop arguing because there is nothing to argue about.

  25. Jan 21, 2010 at 02:02 AM by davespud100

success in 9-ball often coms down to your break and how lucky you get with position on the break. in snooker you have to work to win the frame. in 9 ball with a good and lucky break its a matter of just rolling them in. both great games. in regard to snooker players making good pool players, very possible if they can figure out controlling cue ball on break
