it would make more sense if you fight alongside the prof in the next pokemon game, you use the one you chose, your partner (Dawn, May, etc) uses the one of the oposite type, and the prof uses what's left.

if i chose charmander I always just catch a mankey and a spearow.

Just give it time, eventually you'll find one. some pokes just take a while to show up at times, other times you'll never stop running into them xD

Look, I gave you two sources and you rejected them based off the fact that you saw a Rattata who apparently had a shiny animation with it WHICH DID NOT EXIST BACK THEN.. If shiny Pokemon, including the animation, existed back then there would be more people making the same claim you did.

I already contacted you about this matter, providing proof that there is no shiny Pokemon in R/B/E/Y.

@ButterflyMagic No! They were in the very very first games, Red, Blue, and Green. Like I said on my brother's Red version there was a rattata who's tail shined at the beginning of the battle, I personally saw it, but like I said, I lack proof.

@RolyatSille I'm pretty sure shiny Pokemon didn't exist until Gold or Silver. You could count Stadium if you wanted to.

You know, the first shiny pokemon I ever saw was a rattata on my brother's red version, so they existed way back then too... Too bad he fainted it so we never had proof.
