@frogskinshoelace actually i did read all of them. and i would really be a dumb ass to try and reply to all of them. Magical words from a man who had the utmost of class and character. Jimmy V was so passionate about everything he did, while maintaining character that I can only dream of. It was a sad day when he passed away, but I will always remember his words from the end of this speech. I had the honor of watching it live, and I am not ashamed to admit I was in tears. I have wanted to say this for a long time: Thank you Jimmy for all of the memories. May you live in the hearts of sports fans forever...

Jimmy had more class than the entire Admin that fired him. He was a man of true character and I was blessed to know him.

State didn't want to fire him. He bought some shoes for a player and the media ate it up.

NC State should be ashamed of themselves. This was a good man who got you a NCAAA basketball championship! And you fired him!!! But like a gentleman he took it in stride because jimmy V had class!!

Dont act like you know my beliefs. I probably know more about religion than you. I went to church every sunday for about 13 years. I also went to Sunday school. I did a lot of research when I decide that I am not a believer. You are warped if you are positive there is. Nobody knows for sure, and its stupid to act like you do. And yeah, ill enjoy christmas. Hopefully there is a jesus and he shows up so I can give him 2009 birthday punches directly to his vagina.

@frogskinshoelace It is a great speech, one that will go down in history. Look at the amount of money the Jimmy V Foundation has raised, just unbelievable. But as I go through the speech, there is not a ton or religious aspect, or as you stated in an earlier comment, the biblical BS. It is your right to believe or not, it is a free gift to all of us from God through Jesus Christ. This speech was about a great outlook on life more than anything else. Try not to cloud the message :)

I agree with this post. Ive got no problem with you. I just have a problem with people who threaten my loved ones over my religious beliefs, and the people who think I am the bad guy here for my beliefs. Shame on you, and if there is a God, may you all rot in Hell for eternity solely based on your callas comments.

Look dude, im not threatening you or your family because that is ignorant. what i am saying is Jimmy V's strong faith is what made this speech possible. It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with his faith because it was his faith that gave him the strength to make one of the best speeches in the history of sports (right up there with lou gherig). Let's just say it's a great speech and be done with it.
