This is a great introduction to string theory. Now if only I could find the entire formulas somewhere on the internet...

Maybe strings connect to each other when they meet, such as in a large mass like a plant. Then from there on they are closed strings now, so they will be gravitons.

Thank you for uploading this, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. even though it's a little *ahem* dated, the analogies this documentary uses make it really accessible.

I find it strange that they only mention the O strings, and the U strings, but what about if the string loops and attaches to itself while still keeping one end open? This would be a P shape. Of course explaining M-theory using an object from our lower dimensions only limits how we think of things...

this video was great, it was understandable to people who don't have master degrees in physics but at the same time very informative and fascinating!

i only wish i could live long enough to find out if all this turns out to be true! thanks so much for upload.

I don't believe in God but as for me the string theory in fact can serve as an argument that there is some omnipotent force. who caused those strings and brane universes to exist? I think that the simple big bang theory is more pro-atheistic. There was nothing and that nothing became everything. You see with the string theory more questions are arising and if it's true it means that we're just small ants thatg simply aren't able to understand this universe (universes?) and never will

"i dont think even the scientist know what theyre getting into if they did they wouldnt need to do any experiments"
any expert of any field would call you an idiot.

Really? Because I Thought most people Attempting to prove M-theory are doing it to prove the existence of a higher deity. Even if i were wrong this hasn't been proven. It's pretty difficult to test this theory so its gonna be pretty hard to prove.

Truly AMAZING. This documental should be watched by the Pope, so that way he would understand that there is no god and, consequently, that his "efforts" to rule over humans are meaningless.

Thank you Ogniak for uploadin this most enlightning program! now the work done at CERN is clear to me, therefore way more interesting. Great job man! :)
