Speech At The White House Correspondent's Dinner (2006) p3

@ bKiwiD I apologize for being vague, you are correct - we got it. There has been a public debate of the limits regarding freedom of speech in Norway. Some segments of the society find it disturbing and have been brought out of their comfort zone by some of the resent statements from some radical fractions. They do not see the benefit of a transparent society where also the most radical groups are seen through the freedom of speech, and want to close their eyes and minds by forcing restrictions

4naturban: What exactly are you debating about freedom of speech in Norway? I thought you already had it. I always think of you guys as one of the most advanced countries in the world (what with your universal health-care, subsidized education etc). Are you trying to work out whether there should be stronger limits on freedom of speech? Or am I wrong and you don't already have it? This Canadian's interested to know more! (Also, bravo Colbert!!)

If the Earth had two moons they'd only be half the size of Colbert's balls.

Brilliant! We have a public debate on freedom of speech in Norway right now. One of the cornerstones in an open pluralistic democracy. This performance would be the best contribution yet. There are many issues about the US society I question, but how you practice the freedom of speech is far from one of them

No wonder they got Rich Little to do the next Correspondent's Dinner.

I agree Stephen Colbert prolly has the most balls in the world

This is easily the most brave thing I have ever seen a comedian do. It's one thing to insult the president, it's another to do it when he is answering questions but to be invited to a prestigious dinner and be the last speaker and insult him when he is 3 feet from you takes balls. He not only insulted him, he pretty much called him a moron to his face. You sir are a brave man, funniest thing i have seen Colbert do.

@neoldd1: I enjoyed it a lot as well. It's quite cynical but so true. Nice to see someone who thinks alike.

@PandemicalShade I agree, I watched this a few times because this could be the best thing ever occured on TV, but I always skip the clip at the end.

Why, oh, why did he have to end this wonderful rant with this pathetic and un-funny clip?! That was weak of you, Stephen Colbert = /

This performance should come under the definition of "courage" in the Oxford Concise Dictionary. Colbert made my decade

Thats because you watched this with your eyes... next time try watching this with your gut. My gut tells me bush was victorious in this one.
