The Herring jar now only comes half full with lots of liquid and onions. On top of that the price has tripled since 1995 when Fedco stores went bankrupt. Can't even get the cheaper Vita brand anymore that was darker/fattier herring.

i support fishing and like it as a sport, but trolling is just horrible. not only does it create a huge byproduct of dead and unwanted fish, but it also scrapes the ocean floor, which kills basically all of the natural vegetation that is living there... trolling has to be stopped, and we need to take a fair share and nothing more...

overfishing will end up costing jobs, due to depletion, whereas quotas will end up saving jobs. We need to optimize fishing to maximize the gain. Everything else is shortsighted.
