It's the melody of the German national anthem. The lyrics to the anthem are "Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit..." from the third stanza of the "Deutschlandlied." You are refering to the first stanza of the "Deutschlandlied" which was used as national anthem during the Third Reich. This was a perversion of the actual meaning since the line you are refering to was about the unification of the German states and Germany being bloody awesome and not Germany ruling the world.

Holy crap, you are the idiot. Instead of calling ppl names and acting like a kid, you could tell me what song it is then. I´m still pretty sure it is "Deutschland über Alles".

i didn't know ellen degeneres was german

  20. Feb 27, 2010 at 08:56 AM by h4v0kk

Yeah, dumb@ss - resort to name-calling as soon as possible. What you implied is that a square-shaped wing is somehow designed around an elliptical wing - which is NOTHING alike. The p51 was an american design ALL-ALONG, it had NOTHING to do with the british designed Spitfire. P.S. I'm as much american, as you're latvian.

  21. Feb 27, 2010 at 08:13 AM by britgary

Read what i wrote knob head. It was designed around the spitfire. Spitfire with the elliptical wing. Did i say the P51 had an elliptical wing ? And do your research, and ask any German pilot which plane they wanted. It was the Spit. American knob head knows it allas usual.

  22. Feb 27, 2010 at 07:43 AM by h4v0kk

Dude, the P51 doesn't have an elliptical wing. The ends of the wings are totally square. The wings of the P51 are NOTHING like the wings of a Spitfire. The spitfire was NOT superior to a Messerschmit. Not even P51 was - BEFORE they were fitted with the Merlin engines.

  23. Feb 27, 2010 at 03:01 AM by britgary

I think you will find that the Spitfire was far superior to any German aircraft at the time it was introduced and proceeded to become a legend because of this. It could out run turn tighter and climb faster than the Fokke wolf and the Messerschmit. Thats why the P51 was designed around the Spitfire with the elliptical wing.

  24. Feb 26, 2010 at 06:37 PM by h4v0kk

The spitfires were pretty much up to par with the Messerschmits, but certainly not with the Fokker Wolfs... The winning combination was the P51 + british-built Merlin engines. NEVERTHELESS - THE FIRST OPERATIONAL JET FIGHTER - was built by the germans. And the first operational AND DEADLY rocket-powered fighter jet - the ME161. GERMAN ENGINEERING RULES. (and that's from a non-german)

  25. Feb 23, 2010 at 11:03 PM by AfflictionFTW

It doesn't matter for me if spitfire was or not better then the old Me-109, because FW-190 is better then the british fighter plane, from that time.
